Personal data we collect

If you choose to submit personal information (such as name, address, contact details, date of birth, CV’s, educational records, work history, employment, references) to us via a CV or biography via email, you will be assumed to have given your consent to our collection and use of your personal and professional data. This data may be used to appraise your suitability for potential employment opportunities, and to contact you in this regard.

We may also collect data about you from publicly available sources, such as LinkedIn, Viadeo, Xing or other platforms where you have voluntarily submitted your personal or professional data.

You may also be referred to us (eg via an ex-colleague, former employer, classmate or acquaintance).

How long do we keep your personal data?

  • Candidate data: 3 years following the last contact.
  • Placed Candidate data: 6 years following the last contact.
  • Client data: 2 years following the last contact or after termination of service agreement.

Our contact with you

We may contact you proactively (via referral or social networks) with regard to a professional opportunity which matches your publicly available profile. You have the right to request not to be contacted again, and/or that we do not collect or store any personal or professional details. We may keep a record of all communications with you, if you agree to your information being held on our database.

Use of your data

Sapiens may disclose your information to potential prospective employers, but will never communicate your personal contacts, current or previous employer or other identifying data without your consent. Unlike many executive search companies, Sapiens will never disclose your information to any third parties not related to prospective employment opportunities.

*Sapiens may contact you to share market information, blog updates or other information directly related to the employment or job search market. We will not contact you for any other reason. You can opt out of these communications at any time by contacting Sapiens via email, website or telephone.

Data Security & Access

Sapiens operates its website from Belgium, and the personal and/or professional information which you have provided will be stored either in Belgium or in the Netherlands.  In sending or communicating personal and professional information to us, you agree to the storage and use of this information in these locations. We use various up-to-date levels of technological security to protect your information. However, it is not possible for any company to guarantee for 100% that your data will always be secure on the internet.

Your rights

  • You have the right to be informed about how we use your data.
  • You have the right to obtain access to your information, and to have it corrected if it is incorrect.
  • You have the right to be forgotten (in other words to request the deletion or removal of you data), and the right to block use of your information.
  • You have the right to stop receiving content from us, which will be in the form of market information, job opportunities and blog posts (see * above).

We do not use cookies to collect personal data on you.
